Freddie Gutierrez
Guitarist - Dreamer - Tech Fanatic

Been playing guitar since junior high school after hearing some old school metal and hard rock guitar players. Figured I could do it and be a big rock star(yeah, that is likely). Got into more intense, but less popular instrumental music thanks to Mike Varney's Shrapnel Records. Went to the Musician's Institute in Hollywood (1993-1994) and met a bunch of cool musicians (Scott Henderson, Shawn Lane, Richie Hallebeek, Antti Kotikoski, Shane Galaas). Won the battle of the bands there with the band Ziemba (featuring David Ziemba of the canadian band the Salads). Got online and found even more incredible players (Guthrie Govan, Bumblefoot, Mattias "IA" Eklundh). Played in various cover bands (rock en espanol, party bands, etc). Now just play for fun (unless a group of really cool musicians comes along and something works) and goto the NAMM show.
