All music is written, produced, and played by Freddie D. Gutierrez...

except the section that's titled "Me and the Backing Tracks". As the name implies, someone else wrote the backing track, and I just solo over it..if there are trade offs between the author and myself, I will denote the times that each of us has a turn..a link will also be provided to the authors site...

Me and the Backing TracksStory behind the song
Freddieguts and the smooth jazz Backing Track I think this backing track is off of a guitar war site or something..i found the original one to be way too long so i edited it and tried to establish some kind of melodic idea over it...2 takes (bloody obvious where i punched in thanks to some new strings and slightly different tone) and yeah, mistakes..but it's a backing track so eh.....anyway, enjoy..
Freddieguts and the AntiMatter Backing Track This backing track simply known as Antimatter is an edit of another backing track that was very long..suffice to say, i was having computer problems and decided to use this to test out the recording capabilities...it was done in 2 takes...and sloppy as hell..but then again, it's just me and a backing track..fun, fun, fun
Freddieguts melodic interpretation of Scott Lerner's Bluetude backing track Scott Lerner is an amazing jazz-fusion guitarist and Berklee college of music graduate. I learned about him through friends I have made over the years online..I finally got to see him play in person at the Namm show accompanied by Chris Ptacek..very cool..
Freddieguts on the Richie Kotzen backing track Richie Kotzen has recorded with many artists and releases many fine cd's both instrumental and featuring his voice. He was featured in a guitar magazine that again had a backing track to practice with...here'e me over that track...
Freddieguts on the Mattias IA Eklundh backing track Mattias IA Eklundh of the band Freak Kitchen released a lesson in a fine guitar publication with a backing track to jam over..I have tried many times to record something but nothing sounded good enough...tonight 9/7/2005, I decided to just "go for it" and do it in 1 take..I just have to live with it..besides, it's a backing track...shouldn't take it too seriously
plugin contest entry The instrumental rock band PlugIn is holding this contest see, and if you win you get to be on their cd with a lot of other great guitar players so here's my entry
FreddieGambaleBacking Frank Gambale did a lesson in one of them nifty guitar publications and left this cool backing track to jam over..so this is me, jamming over Frank's rhythm track...

Original Music FilesStory Behind the Song
A Little Lovin' This song was recorded in 2000, I just thought of doing a classic rock tune like one on Cheech and Chong's "Up in Smoke"(Theme from the big green van)...not lots of shred but laid back...
WeekendAlchisolo-clip So I've been working on this song for a few months now, the music is done, but it's only fit to be a vocal tune and lets say lyrics are not my bag..so I figured I would at least post the solo for the hell of it..oh yeah..it's kinda reminicent of old helloween..
What's up sober So awhile back, Limp Bizkit was looking for a guitar player. This would've been my entry but I submitted it too late..just wasn't meant to be..but still, a fun song to write and produce
A Token Shuffle One of the first tunes I ever recorded and wrote..programmed the bass, drums and keyboards, guitars were the only real thing(I was using a digitech rp7)..nowadays, I stick to real guitars and bass guitars..but the drums and synths are still done in step time
